Daniel Sadler

July 3, 1958 — February 16, 2023

Daniel Sadler was born on July 3, 1958 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late George and Louise Sadler. Daniel transitioned from Earth to Glory peacefully at his home on February 16, 2023.

Daniel, who was affectionately known as Danny, Twin and Sadd was a graduate of Middletown High School Class of 1977. Daniel excelled in track during high school, so much so that running became more of a passion than exercise to him. He could be seen running from Odessa to Middletown, sometimes in extreme weather.  After graduating high school, Daniel enlisted in the Delaware National Guard and served honorably for four years.

Daniel had a lively spirit--he would always speak his mind. Mom (Louise) would often describe Daniel as the one who wouldn’t take no tea for the fever, meaning he refused to put up with nonsense. He enjoyed singing and dancing, often imitating the late James Brown. You would frequently hear him singing the old hymn, “Children Go Where I Send Thee” along with his twin brother David. Daniel joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of his brother, Rev. George Sadler and because you would never see one twin without the other, David joined as well.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father George H. Sadler, mother Louise J. Sadler, sister Hester N. Sadler, brother Kennard Sadler, nephews Chris Sadler and Raymond Allen, III, devoted friends Rev. Deborah “Super” Walker and Angela “Mickie” Benson.

Daniel leaves to cherish his memories, son Daniel Andre Dickson, grandson Andre Moore, brothers Rev. George Sadler (Linda), William Sadler (Pam), Cecil Sadler and twin David Sadler, sisters Stephanie Allen (Raymond), Elizabeth Boyer and Lisa Sadler, devoted cousin Cheryl Cale, devoted friends Bill Saunders and Corporal Saunders, care givers of Vicdania Health Services: Manfred Hooke, Ella Light and Sherman and a host family and friends.
