    B. Carl (Johnny) Yates

    November 27, 1945 - February 4, 2022

    Johnny was born on November 27, 1945, in the city of Merryville, Lousiana to Murray R. Yates and Clynice Johnson. He passed on February 4, 2022, at home. Johnny received his early childhood education in Chester Upland School District, then served his country in the Vietnam War, receiving an honorable discharge. He then attended Cheyney University receiving a Master's Degree in engineering. While he worked at Scott Paper and Sun Oil, retiring from both. Johnny was a Master Mason with Franklin Lodge #58, he was a man of chance and a connoisseur of higher learning. Johnny was preceded in death by his daughter Arayna D. Yates, parents; Murray and Clynice Yates. Two sisters, Clynice and Stephanie. Johnny was survived by Lillian Yates and his two sons; James E. Yates and Murray R. Yates. His sisters; Patricia Smith (William), Bernice Yates, Joyce Yates, and Janice Yates. Grandchildren Desiree Fowlkes, Breona Yates, Natosha Yates, James Yates Jr. (Jacqueise), Isiah Farrow, and special aunt Dot Moses. Seven Great Grandkids, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
