Anthony Lamar Mosley was born on June 15, 1955 in Chester, Pennsylvania, to the late Samuel and Birdie Mae Carson Mosley. He departed this life on Friday, July 12, 2019, at his home as he desired in New Cas-tle, Delaware. Anthony was the eighth child of thirteen children and the father of two sons. He was pre-ceded in death by one granddaughter, Kayla Jennings, two brothers, Samuel Mosley, Jr. and Charles Mos-ley; three sisters, Elizabeth Traywick, Roberta Mosley and Sandra L. Mosley. Anthony was educated in the Chester Upland School District and graduated from Chester High School in 1973. He attended one year of college at Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania and in 1975, he decided to enlist in the United States Air Force. Anthony was an adventurous person and wanted to travel to see the world. While stationed in Korea, he traveled through Asia and visited Japan. He later was stationed in Turkey, and while on leave, he went to Greece, Italy and Spain. After being Honorably discharged from service, Anthony returned home and lived a short time in Chester, Pennsylvania. In 1994, he moved to New Castle, Delaware. His greatest joy was playing his guitar, fishing, gardening and working on his car. Left to cherish his memories, his two sons, Michael Jennings of Chester, Pennsylvania and Jamir Benson of North Carolina; he was blessed with two grandchildren, LaMikica Jennings and Michael Jennings, Jr., both of Chester, Pennsylvania; one great grandchild, Ariana Jennings; two sisters, Phyllis Mosley Robinson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Ethel M. (Ossie) Tillery of Conway, South Carolina; five brothers, David Bright of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Mark (Cleora) Mosley of Chester, Pennsylvania, Paul (Tyra) Mosley of Conway, South Carolina, Peter Mosley of Allentown, Pennsylvania and Samuel (Felisha) Mosley of Philadel-phia, Pennsylvania; one aunt, Marie Carson of Chester, Pennsylvania; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
