Alvin Price"Butch" Jeffers

Alvin (Butch) Price Jeffers was born on January 5, 1944, in Chestertown, MD to Anna Wilson and Clarence Jeffers, Sr. He was the second youngest of fifteen (15) siblings.

Alvin passed away on September 6, 2021, at Season's Hospice, Wilmington-Christiana Care Hospital in Wilmington, DE.

Alvin received his early childhood and intermediate education at Millington School in Millington, MD.

Thereafter, he received his secondary education at Garnett High School and graduated in the year of 1962. Subsequently after graduating high school, he was drafted in the United States Army on January 11, 1969. During his tour in Vietnam, he functioned as an Army Administrator. He served dutifully until his honorable discharge on August 16, 1971. He received several military honors: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Succeeding
his discharge, he was employed with Chrysler Automotive Corporation for 20 years.

Alvin enjoyed cooking, playing baseball, watching Western movies and his love for automobiles. He was highly recognized for his good hearted and kind natured spirit. He opened his home to anyone who needed shelter and enjoyed entertaining with family and friends.

Alvin was preceded in death by parents Clarence Jeffers, Sr. and Anna Wilson; brothers, Clarence Jr., Thomas, Arnette, Wendell; sisters, Ethel, Mildred, Violet, Dorothy and Irene.

Alvin is survived by; brothers Arnold and James; sisters Marlene, Anna, Annetta and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special acknowledgement to his nephew DeVaughn J. Jeffers for his honorable relationship and devotion to Alvin.
