Aaron Jerome Woody

February 5, 2010 — September 1, 2023

Aaron Jerome Woody departed this life on September 1, 2023.

Aaron was born to parents Aaron Robert Woody Sr. and Shana Chanel Blakeney in

Wilmington, Delaware on February 5, 2010.

Aaron (Sonshine and A.A.Ron as family would affectionately called him) received

his education though Early Childhood Center, Brennan and Southern Elementary

and then onto George Read Middle School.

Aaron was a very happy child, he loved to listen to music (old school), going

swimming at cousin Charlie’s house, riding scooters with his little cousin Samaya,

playing on his tablet and phone. He would find a song and asked his mommy

“what song is this mommy” and when he learned the song he would sing it like he

was one of the original singers, singing in tune and on beat, hitting high notes and

all.

Aaron was preceded in death by his father Aaron Robert Woody Sr., maternal

grandparents Jason Sr. and Anne Blakeney, aunt Denise Blakeney and uncle

Jerome Blakeney.

Aaron leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Shana Blakeney of Wilmington

Delaware, five brothers and four sisters, Dekevis Blakeney, Tiandra, Deborah,

Alanna, Tyrah, Aaron(RJ), Aamir, Kaiden and Alijah Woody. Paternal grandparents

Rev. Aaron Moore and Shereese Woody-Al Kaabah. Devoted aunt Lorraine Jones,

uncles Jason Blakeney Jr. and Ralph Woody, great-aunt Alisa Moore, great-uncles

Kevin(Julia) and Royce Moore. Great-Grandmother Rosalie Patterson, devoted

cousins Charlie (Crystal), Mar, Jayden, Sierra, Giannai, Jerome, Samaya and a host

of other cousins.
